first editing stage with Photoshop

In our lesson we began to look at the pictures taken and pick which ones were the best for our front cover. We picked the picture with my partner Zanele smiling and the camera is angled in her direction.Alethea Lovell 4 - Click to view full size photo
We thought this would be the best one as it was eye catching and was very bright, just like the style 'pop'. After selecting the picture, using the clone tool we made her skin tone even and more improved as they do in magazines. This included making her teeth whiter and erasing spots and blemishes. After we were happy with her lose-up, we tried to change her background so that the font of the magazine would go behind her head. but because she had many loose strands of hair, when we copied the picture over it had bits of orange background showing g through; so we made the decision to use the orange background and have the font on top of the picture. The second thing we did was the title of the magazine 'Popp!n', we chose this name as it included the word 'pop' but was also very exciting and bold. We changed the font to Braggadocio which is a very interesting and different font

It is also very bold and grabs the readers attention. Finally we saved our work and made more ideas for the next lesson.
